About Me

I grew up surrounded by fashion as my mother was a fashion designer and instilled in me so many creative values. I began studying fashion in high school, taking classes at the local community college. Through that program I was invited to work as a volunteer at the 2007 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles. As soon as I graduated, I moved to San Francisco--from San Luis Obispo--to study fashion merchandising at San Francisco State University. I began working at Urban Outfitters when I was 18 and got my first taste of retail. From there I moved to Nordstrom in the Savvy and Fashion Jewelry Departments. During my Junior year of college I was accepted into the study abroad program at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, Italy. While there I traveled all over Europe, attended fashion shows, toured showrooms, and interned at the Les Hommes Showroom on Via Bergamo. I also attended an intensive fashion styling course at Central Saint Martin's in London. After learning a great deal about design and culture in Europe, I returned to San Francisco where I began working at Diesel where I was the Denim Apostle, or denim specialist. During my fall semester of my senior year, I interned at Stitch Fix as a merchandising intern. There I attributed, organized, photographed, and made outfit suggestions for the merchandise. I now work at Scotch & Soda as a stylist. I cannot wait to see where life will take me as I continue on my journey through the fashion industry.
